The CD14538BE is a double-precision monostable multivibrator circuit that provides stable, resettable, resettable trip operation for any fixed voltage timing application. An external resistor (RX) and an external capacitor (CX) control the timing and precision of the circuit. The adjustment of RX and CX provides a wide range of output pulse widths of the Q and Q / terminals. The time delay from the trigger input to the output transition (trigger propagation delay) and the time delay from the restart input to the output transition (restart propagation delay) are independent of RX and CX. A precision control of the output pulse widths is achieved by linear CMOS techniques.
